Philly-raised, Brooklyn-based independent artist, Don McCloskey, returns to Johnny Brenda's for his annual holiday concert in advance of his upcoming fourth album.

McCloskey's songs and performances are eclectic in both genre and tone. His lyrics are ruminations on love, death, sex, spirituality, intoxication, politics, and sometimes glockenspiels and men's figure skating. His songs are often inspired by the town he was born in (Bristol, PA) and the city that raised him (NYC). His music is heavily influenced by American and Irish folk revivalists, British Invasion rock, 80's pop music and Golden Age hip hop. He's toured with and shared stages with Raekwon, De La Soul, G Love, Dumbfounded, and The White Buffalo, among others. His songs have received airplay locally on WPXN and WMMR and have been featured in podcasts, film, and television, including prominently in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

McCloskey returns to Johnny Brenda's performing songs from the upcoming album backed by producer Devin Greenwood on keys along with Chuck Staab, Sam Minaie, and Johnny Polonsky. The December 14th show is the latest in a string of annual sold out holiday concerts by McCloskey in Philadelphia, advance tickets are highly recommended.
