A Sunny Day In Glasgow - (Set time: 11:00 PM)

Philadelphia's A Sunny Day In Glasgow play lush, dreamy music similar to NYC's Asobi Seksu, coupled with the eclectic sonic clatter of bands like Grizzly Bear and (of course) My Bloody Valentine. The band's second full length Ashes Grammar was just released in September and received rave reviews. Pitchfork says their music "draws you in by offering outstanding moments in strange contexts; you'll re-listen to hear specific pieces even though you're unable to remember exactly when and how they occur. Ashes Grammar often feels like the result of a band who took Martha Reeves & the Vandellas' "Come and Get These Memories" in the most abstract, art-damaged way possible: nostalgic, jigsaw pop music from a group of writers strong enough to keep you humming and courageous enough to make you guess." We couldn't agree more!

Reading Rainbow - (Set time: 10:00 PM)

Awesome West Philly lo-fi noise pop band who have become blog favorites! They put out their first full length Mystical Participation on local imprints Slipshot Music Kiss and Single Girl/Married Girl. "It's a record where playful guitar pop, brisk drumbeats and freewheeling rock 'n' roll harmonies are fed through a dreamy prism." John Vettese, Philadelphia City Paper

Ape School - (Set time: 9:00 PM)

Michael Johnson's Ape School features members of Lilys, Human Television, and Holopaw. After months of fine tuning, Johnson and company have crafted an intriguing mishmosh of influences which amount to a melodic, head spinning treat of shoegazey tremolo and effect-driven ambience.
