The Detroit Cobras - (Set time: 11:15 PM)

"You should hope and pray that they play your party."— Spin
If you went to high school in COOLVILLE U.S.A., then the Detroit Cobras would have played at your prom.
Crawling out from the weed-choked lots of the once proud town, The Detroit Cobras whip out ass-shaking anthems to good times, wild times, and the high and lows of L-U-V; you best believe it and you best not mess with it. Blurring the lines between R&B and R&R and soul, the Cobras are THE go-to party band for those in the know. Singer Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez are the bad girls by the exit doors at the school dance, all leather and heels, sneaking smokes and passing the flask. They have no time for dewy-eyed love songs or girl group decorum; they'll take care of business themselves with a bat of the eye or an elbow to the kidney. Rachel's "warm as the half pint ofbourbon under the seat of your car" voice can boom to the back pews (Did we say "pews?" We meant "barstools") and Mary's riffs let you know that love and good times can be found in the tilt of a hip or at the end of a fist.

The Midnight Beat - (Set time: 10:15 PM)

The Midnight Beat, Female fronted garage punk from Philadelphia. Started in 2008, the band draws influence from classic garage rock, 70s proto punk and classic power pop. Midnight Beat has been playing just about every rock n roll show worth seeing in Philadelphia. Recently with The Paul Collins Beat, Holly Golightly and The Broke Offs, The Black Hollies, The Biters, The Shalitas and more. Debut 7" out on Creep Records this winter.
The Improbables - (Set time: 9:15 PM)

The Improbables rose from the marshes of the greater Atlantic City area some time ago, and called that no man's land home for longer than they care to admit. A futile confrontation with the region’s fundamental and inherent tragedy has since pushed them westward to Philly, where they now take pleasure in sharing their own primitive and genuine sound with those who get it. Equally informed by 60’s garage, soul, psychedelia and 70’s punk, the band’s songs recall and preserve those moments in the life of rock ‘n’ roll when it was able to be self-aware without being self-conscious, and when a good time was inevitable.
