Dong Johnson - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
Dong Johnson
Dong Johnson is a punk rock band that recently released its four-song Happy Birthday EP. The band includes Opal Rock (5 Points Of Logic), bassist Tracy Stanton (The Bloodfeathers), drummer Chris Wilson (Ted Leo And The Pharmacists), and guitarist Joshua K. Cicetti (Gildon Works, The Midnight Sounds); the EP was recorded and mixed by Jeff Zeigler at his Uniform Recording studio
Broncho - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Broncho
Harkening back to punk rock’s glory days of the 70s, Oklahoma outfit Broncho captures the aggression, DIY authenticity and youthful exhilaration of a bygone era and then drags it by the hair into the Here and Now, creating a fresh sound that’s unlike anything being played today. With echoes of The Replacements, Iggy and the Stooges and The Ramones, Broncho’s exuberant ten song debut Can’t Get Past the Lips is a blisteringly cathartic 20 minute flash of gritty, crunching guitar work supported by an assaultive rhythm section and made whole by songwriter Ryan Lindsey’s aggressive, yelping vocal work.
Bad Weather California - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Bad Weather California
This is American music. Drawing on (perhaps channeling?) The Velvet Underground and Post Beatles era John Lennon, Bad Weather California is both timeless and classic while somehow being, simultaneously, forward thinking and modern. They have been around – as in around the country – countless times; touring the United States, Canada and Mexico, calling broken tour vans and random living room sofas home.

Since their first tour with Leeds UK's Boyracer to the Dave Longstreth (The Dirty Projectors) jaunts to the Thanksgiving west coast rips to the epic voyages with Wolf Colonel, Bad Weather California have shared bills with Doug Martsch (Built to Spill), The Microphones, Scout Nibblete, The Mountain Goats, Little Wings, Mirah, David Dondero, CEX, The Blow… Fuck it. You get the picture.

Most recently the Bad Weather California live experience has been compared to The Flaming Lips, The Band, Bob Dylan (Blond on Blond era). Adolf has been critically praised as a lyricist. But he has a different take on the process.

"Writing songs, or rather letting songs write themselves, has led me down an organic path of self, perhaps even spiritual discovery and creativity. I'm not unique in this. It's just that I have chosen to share my path through the things that I make. Here's my vibe: I just want to be a regular dude playing music for regular people. I am not special."
