Octave Cat ft. Jesse Miller (Lotus), Eli Winderman (Dopapod), Charlie Patierno - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
Octave Cat ft. Jesse Miller (Lotus), Eli Winderman (Dopapod), Charlie Patierno
Octave Cat started unintentionally. Jesse Miller (bassist for Lotus) and Eli Winderman (keyboardist for Dopapod) met up to play some of Jesse's modular and vintage synthesizers. They recorded parts of the session which evolved into the tracks “Limber Up” and “Spar.” They brought in Charlie Patierno to play drums on these two tracks, and Octave Cat was born. Between their already busy tour schedules, the new trio (named for the first synth that initial session started with – the rare late 70s The Cat by Octave) continued to write and record. The group’s debut self-titled album is out now.

Muscle Tough
**TWO SETS AT 10PM AND 11PM**

Muscle Tough is Philadelphia’s premier Futuristic Funk Fusion trio. Formed in 2014 at TIME, the band has developed a sound that is a heavily improvised blend of modal jazz, funk, and psychedelia. Drawing from a widely diverse set of influences and a common love of sonic texture, their unique use of sound design and group-minded improvisation allows them to create eclectic original compositions, as well as stretch classic pop hits to new depths. In 2016 they released their first EP, “Greasin’ Up The Mediocrity Wheel”, and shared noteworthy live collaborations with members of Phish, Medeski Martin & Wood and Dopapod. The band is close to finishing their first full length effort, “Magical Achievements”.
Air Is Human - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Air Is Human
“Air is Human is a group from Philadelphia, comprised of Josh Aptner and Jeff Lucci. The duo formed in late 2011 and finished their debut EP “The Infinity Limit” by 2012. In 2015, four EPs were released in sequence with the changing of seasons; on each equinox and solstice. Air is Human create their unique sound by drawing from an eclectic combination of influences, including bands like Radiohead, Boards of Canada, The Mars Volta, Talk Talk, and Jean Luc Ponty. Their live sound is intense, with layered Rhodes and guitars set against driving, and sometimes dance like percussion. They think Nelson Cline is kind of a weener.”
