Friendship - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Friendship
Friendship is a Philadelphia-based band currently comprised of Dan Wriggins, Peter Gill, Mike Cormier, Evangeline Krajewski, and Jon Samuels.

Gill, Cormier, and Wriggins, all originally from Maine, began performing as Friendship in 2015, when they shared an apartment in Philadelphia. They released an LP, You’re Going to Have to Trust Me, on Burst and Bloom Records in late 2015, and an EP, F/V Hope in 2017 with Philadelphia’s Sleeper Records. Wriggins’ lyrics reflect conversation and humor. They stress his characters’ unmediated involvement in each other’s lives, which transcends and is frustrated by their failed communications. These tensions are expanded by the band’s twisted articulation of americana - waves of ambient pedal steel, droning synthesizers and drum machines, vibraphone, electric piano, and percussion surge and fall alongside minimal guitar and bass patterns.

“[F/V Hope] is a small, quiet group of songs so subtle and evocative that to sit with them just once is to find a friend for life – and I plan to never forget them” -GoldFlakePaint
Kath Bloom - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Kath Bloom
The more you hear of Kath Bloom, the more you notice it’s not just the arresting voice, but the power of the songwriting. “Beautiful” is the typical response—the kind of beauty that comes from truth, musical and the deeply lyrical. There are no good comparisons, but if you like the deep well of Emmylou Harris, the more poignant lyrics of Lou Reed, the joy of Maher Shalal Hash Baz or even Joni Mitchell, you're kinda in the right zone. In reality, she’s simply Kath Bloom: horse whisperer, vocalist, mum, songwriter and a beautiful person.

Her albums recorded with Loren Mazzacane Connors in the 70′s/80′s are rare things, full of songs that float and melt into the ether. Impossibly beautiful and hard to find on LP, but check the reissues from a few years ago . In the 90′s Kath’s music was famously featured in Richard Linklater’s film Before Sunrise. Since then she has been busy writing and recording to great acclaim. Two new albums in the last few years and she and her songs were also honoured on a tribute album featuring Bill Callahan, Scout Niblett and Mark Kozelek.
Most Selfless Cheerleader - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Most Selfless Cheerleader
Most Selfless Cheerleader is the current project of Amelia Pitcherella, who started writing music on the guitar in 2015 while in school in Manhattan, taking cues from 90s songwriters like Scout Niblett and Liz Phair as well as power pop and jangle bands like Let’s Active and Guided By Voices. Now based in Philadelphia, she has expanded her solo set to include percussion and keys and occasionally performs with a rotating live band. Over the past year she has made two tours as a solo act alongside Connecticut’s Lady Queen Paradise and has a second tape of demos set for release in spring 2017.
