Turning Violet Violet has graduated from an emerging pop rock outfit into a fixture in the Philadelphia indie music scene. It’s been a busy year for the band. They sharpened their live edge playing with Glasvegas, East Hundred, Oh Land, Mr. Dream, and many others all over the east coast. After spending months writing and recording, TvV is touring throughout 2012 to promote their latest independent release, Double Cure.
Heyward Howkins - (Set time: 9:15 PM)
After getting his start playing guitar in Philadelphia's The Trouble with Sweeney, Heyward recently embarked on a solo career. Heyward is currently recording a debut release with a full band and innovative production from the esteemed Chet Delcampo. Heyward crafts smart, soulful pop music--equal parts British tweed (see Nick Drake, John Cale) and backwoods American (see M. Ward, Bon Iver). less
