Maitland - (Set time: 11:00 PM)
Maitland
Years of brotherhood, self-proclaimed and genetic, have created the Indie/folk/rock band Maitland. Pulling influences from Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, and woodsy expeditions, Maitland has transformed from a minimalist folk duo into a rock quartet. With the release of the band’s first album, “(from a cabin in the woods),” Josh Hines (vocals/guitar/songwriter), toured subway systems in the North East cities like Boston, Philadelphia, New York, etc. Once it was time to make more noise, Josh Hines invited his brother, Alex Hines (bass/vocals), Evan Moffitt (guitar), and Adam Shumski (drums) to the stage. Capitalizing on the versatility of the folk iterations, Maitland’s live performances express backwoods rustic elements paired with driving percussion and unforgettable melodies. Evan Moffitt creates a comfortable blanket of atmosphere to lay over Maitland’s three part harmonies, haunting falsettos, and dynamic percussion.
Abi Reimold - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Abi Reimold
Abi Reimold of Philadelphia writes dynamic, cathartic songs that are darkly colorful. Rough around the edges in a way that is more honest than careless, Reimold's music has a distinctly human quality with songwriting that builds tension using dissonance both harmonically and lyrically. Reimold's voice rides a range of octaves and emotions, exploring dark inner worlds by pairing starkly vivid lyrics with contoured melodies. Reimold weaves the riffs and grit of modern rock with thoughtful phrases and poetry that are firmly rooted the introspective folk tradition. Reimold's debut full-length Wriggling was released January 26th on Sad Cactus Records.
Square Peg Round Hole - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Square Peg Round Hole
Square Peg Round Hole formed in 2011 while studying music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, in Bloomington, Indiana. The band has shared bills with Built To Spill, The Album Leaf, Mae, This Will Destroy You, and The Joy Formidable, and has been featured at major venues across the country including the Electric Factory, Old National Centre, Le Poisson Rouge, and the World Café Live.

Elegant, articulate, and expansive, Juniper, the new record from instrumental percussion trio Square Peg Round Hole manages to convey – and evoke – an entire range of human emotions despite its lack of a single sung word. "Because we are an instrumental group, our hope is that people connect with the songs and assign their own meanings to them," says Evan Chapman. "Without lyrics telling the listener how to feel, it leaves the music as an open-ended question." A sonic mirror reflecting the listener’s subconscious emotional state back at themselves, Juniper engages with the fundamental and primeval.
