Guillermo Pizarro
Guillermo Pizarro
Guillermo Pizarro is a sound artist from Eastern PA by way of West Virginia. He started
experimenting in 2010 with prepared guitar/drone compositions, and has since then
moved to experimenting with field recordings, synths and amplified objects to create
his textured soundscapes.

Guillermo has also done sound design for films, most currently for the award winning
short, “Three” and for an unreleased short film, Jericho Bridge which will be part of a
larger anthology.

Outside of his solo work, Guillermo also runs a label, Flag Day Recordings which
focuses on promoting experimental music, soundtracks and studio produced projects
done at Mystery Ton Studios.
Glymmur's 'Field Study: 33 Minutes' is a solo guitar work that challenges traditional rhythm and structure that channels the unpredictability of anxiety attacks. Rather than try to corral the unpredictable,
Field Study: 33 Minutes is the acceptance of rhythms and
structures reconfigured and deconstructed. Using the root takes, field recordings were used to add textures and capture the
natural environment the work was created in.
