The National Rifle - (Set time: 11:15 PM)

The National Rifle is a Philadelphia band formed in 2006 that has released 4 EPs and is preparing its first full length album titled Almost Endless for release on 1/22/13
Recorded in the spring of 2012 with producers Brian McTear (Sharon Van Etten) and Jon Low (Twin Sister) Almost Endless comes a long way from the indie punk of The National Rifle's previous releases. The beat's as loud as ever but the tone is even more dynamic. The dance-ready bass, the energy and the restlessness are still there but they've reached a point in which their influences blend to create a sound of their own. Covered in analog synths and amp noise, it bridges the gap between disparate influences. It's dance music for headphones.
With the upcoming LP The National Rifle follow their favorite bands who crafted a sound with both guitars AND synths. Referencing Berlin-era Bowie, Gary Numan, and New Order while keeping 21st century influences like the work of Johnny Jewel and M83.

The New Connection - (Set time: 10:15 PM)

The New Connection is a 5-piece Philadelphia based band that plays their own blend of rock music. They are music for the ADD generation, drawing influences from bands like The Beatles, Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Talking Heads, TheClash, Elvis Costello, NOFX and The Police. They sound like a music nerd's iPod on shuffle and can be compared to newer artists like Minus The Bear, Vampire Weekend, The Mars Volta and Local Natives.
Crills Wilson - (Set time: 9:15 PM)

“Described as "Hectic Rock with an aroma of Folk and Punk". Wilson’s the kind of guy who would wreck your house during a party, but come back the next morning to help clean up the mess. What’s more American than that?”
