Low Cut Connie - (Set time: 10:45 PM)
Low Cut Connie
The New York Times recently called Low Cut Connie's live show a "phenomenon" and "pathologically fun." Rolling Stone named them a Band to Watch, and hailed them as a "loose limbed rock n roll band with greasy wit. ". The LA Weekly recently said "their live show is unmatched in all of rock right now". The boys have been on the road these last two years with their fierce, righteous brand of R'nR...bringing along their busted upright piano, their razor-sharp voices, well worn skins and a new boogie for all mankind.

Low Cut Connie is the brainchild of two roadwarriors and songwriters from different sides of the pond. Adam Weiner (New Jersey USA) and Daniel Finnemore (Birmingham UK) made some loose plans to get some sun on their bones one summer and headed down to Florida to make some noise. Out of the sweat of a five day blitz in a garage in Gainesville came the debut record 'Get Out The Lotion'. Everyone from NPR's Fresh Air to legendary critics like Robert Christgau and Dave Marsh hailed instant Connie classics such as 'Shit Shower n Shave', 'Cat & the Cream' and 'Rio' as some of the best of the year.

With the out-of-nowhere national attention from their debut, and a hundred shows under their belt, the boys expanded their sound and recorded their acclaimed follow up, 'Call Me Sylvia'. Both fans and critics alike were impressed by the 'added muscle' to the Connie sound and instant hit single 'Boozophilia' made it onto Rolling Stone's top 50 songs of the year. The boys high fived and got back in the van.

They have continued to hit the stage head on, groovin' hard with their fans, bustin' out moves across the land night in, night out and with no regard for their own safety.

Tape started rolling on album number III at the end of 2013 with legendary producer Thomas Brenneck at the helm (Amy Winehouse, Charles Bradley, Alabama Shakes). Along with Tommy B, the boys got on the bat phone and enlisted some heavy hitters including Merrill Garbus (of a Tune-Yards), Dean Ween, Greg Oblivion, and members of the Dap Kings and The Budos Band horns amongst others to help spike the punch.

What next then for Low Cut Connie? Well... they will be comin' out swingin' in 2014 with their new long player, an album that reeks of the ragged-but-right rock and roll synonymous with the band but which also promises much, much more. They have expanded into a five-man powerhouse rock n roll revue. Come into the tent and see where the night goes.
Drgn King - (Set time: 9:30 PM)
Drgn King
Drgn King began as the experimental recording project of Dominic Angelella and Brent Reynolds. The duo holed up in a South Philadelphia studio with plans of creating music that fell somewhere between The Flaming Lips, Shuggie Otis, and RZA. Two years later, Paragraph Nights was released, the fruits of their excessive labor. Joe Baldacci and Steve Montenegro joined the band around this time, and the four spent 2013 traversing the country and writing/recording new material. In 2014 they are releasing a cassette EP and an album, both filled with the music they've composed as a collective.
