PLASTIC PICNIC

Plastic Picnic is an indie rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. Despite all having roots in the Pacific Northwest, the members didn’t come together until the two separate duos of singer Emile and guitarist Lincoln and drummer Gordon and bassist Marshall met in New York in 2016. Since their formation, the band has been creating a unique brand of synth-driven pop first showcased on their debut, self-titled EP. Plastic Picnic’s distinct sound has garnered them official showcases at South by Southwest, song placements on hit TV shows Homeland and Shameless, and over 150,000 average monthly listeners on Spotify.

After writing and touring throughout 2018, Plastic Picnic self released their sophomore EP, Vistalite, on July 19. The new project maintains Plastic’s signature style, while signaling an evolution towards a more mature sound. Crafted with the help of Sub Pop staple and producer Trevor Spencer (Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes), Vistalite pays homage to Plastic Picnic’s origins in the Pacific Northwest. Unlike the band’s debut, Vistalite takes a step back from the grit of recording in New York City apartments to embrace the organic, analog tones of a more natural setting. Lyrically, Vistalite confronts escapism, self-awareness, and, ultimately, healing - packaged in warm instrumentals, punchy bass lines and infectious synth melodies.

CATALDO

Cataldo has been hailed as “the rare kind of artist who’s able to absorb the chaotic world around him and distill it into crystalline song…with an eye for telling detail and an ear for unusual sonic textures” by American Songwriter. Their 2017 release Keepers has been welcomed as “nostalgic, and effortlessly, poetically profound,” by Nylon and “wistful and hopeful and beautiful, a brightly emotive yet understated slow-build that splits the difference between Anderson associate Ben Gibbard’s pensive indie rock stylings and rhythmically complex pop worthy of an ’80s teen movie’s closing credits” by Stereogum. Cataldo's 6th release "Literally Main Street" is due in September. KEXP calls it "a perfect example of master songwriting."

PARTY MUSCLES

Party Muscles are an indie rock band comprised of Colin McCarry, Beau Everett Gordon, Tyler Pursel and Joshua Strange. The band was formed by Colin and Tyler after the two begin working at a record store together, struck up a friendship and found they shared a mutual interest in melodic garage guitar bands like The Strokes, The Libertines, Parquet Courts and The Hives as well as a shared affinity for power pop. The group melds an indie power pop sensibility with a lo-fi rock sonic aesthetic. The band released their current LP “Does It Even Matter” August 2nd and are currently touring the east coast.
